CBS Announces Taylor Sheridan's "The Run for a Million," Elite Horse-Reining Competition

CBS announces Taylor Sheridan’s THE RUN FOR A MILLION, an elite horse-reining competition, Saturday, Aug. 22 (7:00-9:00 PM, CT) on the CBS Television Network. Sheridan, who also executive produces, will call the action of the adrenaline-fueled “The Run for a Million,” the fast-paced equestrian competition where 16 riders guide horses through a precise pattern of circles, spins and stops in pursuit of reining’s highest honor – and $1 million prize.

For the past six seasons on CMT, viewers have been immersed in the unique world of elite horsemanship in Taylor Sheridan’s documentary series THE LAST COWBOY, produced by Truly Original, spotlighting the highly skilled riders who compete on the intense professional reining circuit. Each season has culminated in “The Run for a Million” – an arena-based event created by Sheridan in 2019 – where the world’s best reiners compete for the championship and a $1 million purse. The seventh season of THE LAST COWBOY will air on CMT later this fall. All past seasons are available on Paramount+.
