CBS to Provide Weeklong, Multiplatform Coverage of 2025 NWSL Championship

CBS MORNINGS and CBS Sports’ ATTACKING THIRD to Air Live On-Site from PayPal Park in San Jose, California

CBS is heading to PayPal Park in San Jose, Calif., to present weeklong, multiplatform coverage of the 2025 NWSL Championship between the Washington Spirit and Gotham FC. The match will air in primetime at 8:00 PM, ET for the fourth straight year on CBS and Paramount+ on Saturday, Nov. 22.

 

PREMATCH, HALFTIME & POSTMATCH COVERAGE

  • CBS Sports’ pre-match, halftime and post-match coverage will air live from PayPal Park on the dedicated women’s soccer show ATTACKING THIRD, hosted by Poppy Miller with analysts Darian JenkinsKelley O’Hara, and Ali Riley.
  • Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 PM, ET on CBS Sports Golazo Network and YouTube, and continues at 7:30 PM, ET on CBS and Paramount+.
  • CBS Sports' pregame coverage will feature special guests including NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman, Gotham FC midfielder Rose Lavelle, Spirit midfielder Croix Bethune, U.S. Women's National Team head coach Emma Hayes, and more.
  • Extended post-match coverage will continue on CBS Sports Golazo Network and YouTube, following the trophy presentation on CBS.

 

MATCH COVERAGE

  • The match will be called by play-by-play announcer Kate Scott and analyst Lori Lindsey, along with sideline reporter Claudia PagánChristina Unkel will serve as rules analyst. 
  • Match coverage will be bolstered by a 2-point cable Flycam traveling up to 23 MPH along the sideline, providing a never-before-seen coverage angle for American soccer. A shallow depth, wireless ATLAS camera will also bring a cinematic on-field view, along with SSM goal robos to showcase the action from all angles.
  • A dedicated Star Cam will be available on CBS Sports Golazo Network.


‘CBS MORNINGS’ LIVE FROM SAN JOSE

  • For the second straight year, CBS MORNINGS will kick off coverage on Friday, Nov. 21 as co-hosts Gayle KingTony Dokoupil and Nate Burleson take the show on the road to PayPal Park. All morning long, the team will be joined by notable guests including NWSL commissioner Jessica Berman, soccer legends Brandi Chastain and Briana Scurry, country music artist and national anthem performer Mickey Guyton and others. CBS MORNINGS airs on CBS and Paramount+ from 7:00 – 9:00 AM, ET.
  • A team of CBS News correspondents will join the coverage, including Adriana DiazKelly O’GradyElizabeth CookJonathan Vigliotti and more, with CBS Sports’ Lori Lindsey offering expert analysis.

  • In addition to match coverage, CBS Sports will deliver comprehensive coverage of championship week events, including Media Day and the NWSL Awards.   • CBS Sports will also air the 2025 NWSL Skills Challenge at 1:30 PM, ET on Saturday, Nov. 29 on CBS and Paramount+.
