Conan Gray, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll, Post Malone and Tate McRae join the ever-growing lineup of global superstars performing at the 2025 MTV VMAs hosted by LL COOL J, airing coast-to-coast from New York’s UBS Arena Sunday, Sept. 7 at 8:00 PM, ET/5:00 PM, PT on the CBS Television Network- 7:00 PM, CT on CBS Lake Charles, simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.*
Conan Gray
Multiplatinum singer-songwriter makes his main stage debut with hit single “Vodka Cranberry” from his fourth studio album, Wishbone, released earlier this month. The 2020 MTV PUSH artist performed from the VMAs Extended Play stage in 2022.
Doja Cat
Multiplatinum, GRAMMY® and five-time VMAs winner returns to the iconic stage for the first-ever televised performance of her new single “Jealous Type.” The 2021 VMAs host last appeared in 2023, performing a show-stopping medley of hits “Attention,” “Paint the Town Red” and “Demons.”
Jelly Roll
Multi-genre phenomenon Jelly Roll, who appeared during the 2024 VMAs show open with Eminem, will perform and compete for his first-ever Moon Person, nominated in four categories including Best Alternative, Best Country and Best Hip Hop.
Post Malone
The GRAMMY-nominated superstar and six-time VMA winner will return for his first performance since 2018 and celebrate 20 career nods, this year’s for Best Collaboration with Blake Shelton for “Pour Me a Drink.”
Tate McRae
The multiplatinum pop sensation will make her first appearance on the VMAs main stage and celebrate four first-time nominations including Song of the Year (“Sports car”) and Best Pop Artist.Conan Gray

Hosted by Nessa + Kevan Kenney with special performers KATSEYE, the one-hour special airs LIVE Sunday, Sept. 7 at 7:00 PM, ET/4:00 PM, PT on MTV and BET, BET Her, Comedy Central, CMT, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land and VH1.
KATSEYE: Global girl group and first-time nominees KATSEYE will make a spectacular VMAs debut LIVE on the Pre-Show, performing “Gnarley” and “Gabriela” from new EP Beautiful Chaos, which landed them their first Billboard 200 top five. The international sensations are also nominated for MTV PUSH Performance of the Year and Best Group.
VMAs Extended Play Stage, presented by Doritos® moves in-show for the first time, spotlighting a trio of VMAs first-time nominees:
Bailey Zimmerman ft. the Kid LAROI: Multiplatinum country sensation makes his VMAs debut and competes for his first Moon Person, nominated for Best Collaboration and Song of the Summer. He’s joined by multiplatinum chart-topping global superstar and five-time VMA nominee the Kid LAROI, also taking the stage for the first time.
Lola Young: British pop-soul singer-songwriter Lola Young will mark her first VMAs with a performance of her chart-topper “Messy” and compete for her first-ever Moon Person, nominated for Best New Artist and Best Alternative.
Megan Moroney: The multiplatinum hitmaker will celebrate her first VMAs with a performance of “6 Months Later” and compete in the inaugural Best Country category for #1 hit “Am I Okay?”
