Autumn Haunted - A Lake Charles Symphony Concert

Autumn Winds bring together lively dances, gentle melodies, and a touch of mystery.

Highlights include the spirited March of the Gladiators, Glazunov’s festive Bacchanal, and Bartók’s colorful Romanian Folk Dances. Debussy’s playful Children’s Corner and Tchaikovsky’s reflective Autumn Song capture the imagination and beauty of the season.

The second half features Gounod’s mischievous Funeral March of a Marionette, Schubert’s lyrical serenade for strings, and Satie’s tranquil Gymnopédie. Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 closes the concert, moving from the gentle beauty of “Morning Mood” to the thrilling “In the Hall of the Mountain King.”
