Worldwide Day of Play at the Children's Museum at Port Wonder

The Children’s Museum at Port Wonder will join the Association of Children’s Museums and Nickelodeon in celebrating Worldwide Day of Play!

Now in its third year in Lake Charles, Worldwide Day of Play encourages children and families to turn off their electronic devices, get outside and enjoy active, hands-on play. Families can participate in a variety of engaging activities presented by local organizations and community partners.

Worldwide Day of Play activities are free and open to the public. Regular admission rates will apply to guests who wish to enter the Children’s Museum at Port Wonder.

• McNeese State University Baseball

Food and refreshments will also be available for purchase from local food vendors, including King Liam’s Ice Cream Truck, Oasis Foods, Mia’s Lemonade and Mi Tierra.

Families are invited to spend the day moving, exploring, creating and playing together while discovering fun ways to build healthy, active habits away from screens.

Worldwide Day of Play is an annual celebration led by the Association of Children’s Museums and Nickelodeon that highlights the importance of play in children’s learning, health and overall well-being.
