Acadian’s National EMS Academy Offers $400 EMT Training This Fall

Designed to remove financial hurdles for aspiring frontline workers, National EMS Academy offers local residents a fast, affordable pathway into a vital healthcare career. The hands-on program provides an immediate, low-cost path from the classroom directly into a full-time seat at Acadian Ambulance.

Acadian’s National EMS Academy has opened enrollment for its upcoming 12-week EMT training program at its Lake Charles campus, offering a fast track for young adults looking to enter the healthcare workforce without a multi-year timeline. 

Key Program & Enrollment Details

• Class Start Date: November 16, 2026

• Mandatory Orientation: November 3 or November 4, 2026

• Tuition: $400 (Reduced from $1,900)

• Education Requirement: High school diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent

• Format: The hybrid program allows students to complete coursework online while attending hands-on skills labs in person. Designed to turn entry-level students into confident first responders, the curriculum equips students to pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam in just three months.
