Sep 16, 2026 02:25PM ● By Kelsey Swire
Visit Lake Charles (VLC) is recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month with the launch of the third season of its Spanish-language podcast, Visita Lake Charles: Las Voces de Luisiana. The season premieres today, with all four episodes available to stream.

Hosted by VLC Director of Communications Candy Rodriguez, the podcast invites listeners to experience Southwest Louisiana through the people who call it home. Building on two seasons of personal stories and cultural connections, season three shares local perspectives, recommendations and resources that highlight the people and experiences that shape the destination.

The season includes:
  • “Cómo Planear Tu Visita a Lake Charles” featuring Rodriguez, who highlights resources for planning a Southwest Louisiana visit, including Mindtrip’s trip-planning tools, Recite Me’s website accessibility features and VLC’s partnership with Wheel the World.
  • “Lazaro Morales: Conectando a los Latinos en Lake Charles” featuring Lazaro Morales, local DJ and creator of “Latinos en Lake Charles,” a Spanish-language Facebook group with more than 20,000 members.
  • “Ana Denison: Impulsando el Futuro de Lake Charles” featuring Ana Denison, executive director of the Greater Lake Charles Chamber of Commerce, who shares her journey from Mexico City to Lake Charles and her perspective on the community she now calls home.
  • “Diana Vallette y Lazaro Morales: ¡Nuestros Favoritos de Lake Charles!” featuring Rodriguez, Lagniappe Magazine editor Diana Vallete and Morales in a conversation about some of their favorite Southwest Louisiana experiences.
Together, the episodes bring perspectives from tourism, business, media and the region’s Latino community while connecting listeners with both the people and places that make Southwest Louisiana distinctive.

Through conversations in Spanish, Visita Lake Charles: Las Voces de Luisiana gives Spanish-speaking audiences another way to discover the region and reflects VLC’s continued effort to make destination information and storytelling accessible to more audiences.

The full season is available throughout Hispanic Heritage Month and beyond on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio and other major platforms. Episodes can also be watched on Visit Lake Charles’ YouTube channel, where listeners can catch up on Seasons 1 and 2.
