Laborde Earles Injury Lawyers Hosts Free “Wills for Heroes” Event in Lake Charles

Sep 02, 2026 03:20PM ● By Kelsey Swire
Laborde Earles Injury Lawyers recently hosted a Wills for Heroes event at its Lake Charles office, offering local law enforcement officers, firefighters, active-duty military personnel and veterans the opportunity to have a will prepared at no cost.

The event was created to support those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others. Participants were invited to schedule individual appointments to establish a will and help ensure their wishes and families are protected.

“Giving back to the communities we serve is one of our core values,” said Digger Earles, Partner at Laborde Earles. “First responders and members of our military make sacrifices for us every day. This event was one way we could use our resources to serve them and give their families greater peace of mind.”

Although will and estate planning can be easy to postpone, a will is an important safeguard for individuals and their loved ones. For first responders and military personnel whose work may involve heightened risks, having those plans clearly documented can be especially meaningful.

“We are always looking for meaningful ways to support the people who make our communities safer and stronger,” Earles added. “They are there for us when we need them most, and Wills for Heroes gave us an opportunity to be there for them.”

The event reflects Laborde Earles Injury Lawyers’ continued commitment to standing with the communities it serves throughout Louisiana.
