Louisiana Pro-Life Groups to Host the Life March - Southwest

Louisiana Right to Life along with New Life Counseling and the ABC Pregnancy Resource Center will host an inspiring pro-life march from the Veterans Memorial Park at the Lake Charles Civic Center to the downtown courthouse on Thursday January 22nd. Lineup will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the approximately 1.2-mile march begins at 6 p.m. There will be music, speakers, and a candlelight vigil on the courthouse steps.

This year’s Keynote Speaker for the March is “Conceived in Sexual Assault” speaker, Amber Dubois. Amber gently and lovingly talks about issues such as compassion for the mother in crisis and the stigmas surrounding children conceived in rape. By doing so, she hopes to help inspire others to think differently about the rape exception and encourage more men and women to speak out against all forms of assault to make this world a safer place for current and future generations.

The event is held on the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in America. Pro-life groups, churches, and businesses are encouraged to wear their team logos and come march together for the cause of life.
