SOWELA Plans to Host 80-plus Actively Hiring Employers at Fall Career Fair

SOWELA Technical Community College will host a Fall Career Fair on Wednesday, October 22, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Sycamore Student Center at the Main Campus in Lake Charles, La. Current students and alums of the College are welcome to attend. SOWELA expects more than 80 organizations from around the region to participate, with all employers actively hiring.
"Attending the Career Fair is a valuable opportunity for SOWELA students and alumni to gain insights into career options, meet prospective employers, and enhance their professional networks. We welcome all job-seeking students and alumni to participate," shared Joseph W. Lavergne, Director of Recruitment and Career Services.
Various organizations from different employment sectors will attend, including hospitality; hospitals and health care organizations; local, state and federal agencies; industrial companies; financial services; and many more.
Space is still available for employers who would like to host a booth at the fair. The deadline to register is Friday, October 10. To secure a spot, complete the form at www.sowela.edu/career-fair. Vendors receive a continental breakfast and lunch.
