Port Wonder Participating in Our World: Worldwide Day of Play, September 27

The Children’s Museum at Port Wonder announces its participation in Our World: Worldwide Day of Play on September 27, 2025. As a day dedicated to joyful learning through play, this event focuses on getting kids and their families up, out, and playing around.
Together with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, City of Lake Charles, The Pediatric Center of Southwest Louisiana, and McNeese Athletics, this Free Event will feature outdoor and indoor play with games and activities. There will be concessions and food trucks for everyone to enjoy. This event will conclude with a sliming ceremony.

Children and families are invited to participate in this Free event on September 27th, 2025, from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Port Wonder 1011 N Lakeshore Dr, Lake Charles, LA 70601.

Our World: Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon’s Our World global initiative to inspire kids and provide them with tools to activate their individual and collective agency. As part of a network of more than 360 ACM member children’s museums that reach millions of families in North America, and the over 1,450 museums participating in Museums for All, a national access initiative that ACM manages, The Children’s Museum at Port Wonder is a vital collaborator in the Our World: Worldwide Day of Play.
