International Culture Festival Coming to Lake Charles

The International Club of Southwest Louisiana will host the International Culture Festival from 10:00 to 4:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Lake Charles Event Center.

This free, family-friendly festival builds on the success of the Festival of Nations held earlier this year, expanding the celebration of global heritage and community spirit into a larger cultural experience. The event is presented in partnership with the City of Lake Charles, Roman Catholic Diocese of Lake Charles, and other community organizations.

“Our mission is to celebrate and promote the richness of cultural diversity by bringing communities together,” said Erin Morales, president of the International Club of Southwest Louisiana. “This event aims to foster understanding, unity, and pride in our shared cultural heritage, creating an inclusive space where everyone feels welcome.”

Festival highlights include:

● Live cultural performances and international dance

● Global cuisine and local food vendors

● Cultural booths and traditional attire displays

● Family-friendly faith and educational exhibits

● Community partners representing a wide range of traditions
