SOWELA to Host Dual Enrollment Tour

SOWELA Technical Community College will host a Dual Enrollment Tour on Tuesday, July 8, at 10 a.m. for high school students and their families at its Main Campus in Lake Charles, LA. Attendees will tour various program areas, learn about the benefits of dual enrollment, meet faculty and register for dual enrollment classes.
The tour will also discuss the transferability of courses. SOWELA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), so the College's credits are widely transferable. Many dual enrollment students choose to take advantage of the affordable general education courses at SOWELA and then transfer those credits to a four-year college or university, giving them a jump start on their bachelor's degree.
