Beauregard Watermelon Festival 2025

The Beauregard Watermelon Festival (usually) takes place the last weekend of June, but for the 2025 season, it was moved to May 8, 9, & 10 due to carnival availability. CBS Lake Charles is always excited to sponsor this summertime festival and visit our neighbors in DeRidder!
The festival always holds a Cutting of the Melon Opening Ceremony, complete with a "celebrity" seed spitting contest. This year, an axe throwing contest was thrown into the mix! We attended the opening ceremony of the festival, where our Brand Manager Kelsey Swire spit her seed 19 feet, and Account Executive Stacy McCall learned to throw an axe!
