SOWELA Hosts Flying Tiger Open House

SOWELA Technical Community College will host the Flying Tiger Open House on Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m. on its Main Campus in the Sycamore Student Center, 3824 Senator J. Bennett Johnston Ave., Lake Charles, LA. The Flying Tiger Open House will give prospective students and their families the opportunity to visit campus and explore all SOWELA has to offer.
The event is open to the public and includes food and giveaways. Attendees can meet SOWELA faculty and staff and tour the many hands-on learning opportunities available at the College, including SOWELA’s Aviation hangar with planes, chemical labs, nursing simulation labs, LNG training skid, and more.
Enrollment and financial aid specialists will provide application assistance and answer questions about scholarships and financial aid. Representatives from SOWELA’s student organizations will share details on how to get involved and the many student life opportunities available to students.
