Black Heritage Gallery Exhibits

The Imperial Calcasieu Museum, in collaboration with the Black Heritage Gallery, present A Moment in Time, a compelling collaborative art exhibit that amplifies the voices of minority artists through a stunning collection of evocative works. This exhibit delves into themes of cultural pride, emotional reflection, and the rich tapestry of experiences that define diverse artistic identities.
Enjoy the free exhibit located at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum, 204 W. Sallier St. in Lake Charles, through March 29, 2025. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience art that inspires, challenges, and celebrates the spirit of community and culture.
Beginning Friday, February 7, 2025, The Black Heritage Gallery presents Praise Is What I Do, featuring art from the National African American Quilt Guild. You can attend the opening reception on that Friday evening from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at the Historic City Hall in Lake Charles. The exhibit will be available through March 29, 2025.
