CBS Takes Home 6 Awards at the “51st ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY® AWARDS”

CBS TAKES HOME 6 AWARDS AT THE

“51st ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY® AWARDS”

 

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) revealed the winners of the “The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards” and “The Daytime Emmys® Lifestyle & Creative Arts” ceremonies on June 7 and 8, with CBS receiving 6 Daytime Emmys for its programs across CBS and CBS Media Ventures.

 

The CBS daytime dramas THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS each received two awards, and CBS Media Ventures’s ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT won two trophies. At Friday’s ceremony, Melody Thomas Scott of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and her husband, Edward J. Scott, supervising producer of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, were presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for their combined 93 years of contributions to Daytime television.

 

Highlights include Thorsten Kaye winning his second consecutive Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor as Ridge Forrester in THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Furthermore, Michelle Stafford won her third Daytime Emmy, her first in 20 years, for her role as Phyllis Summers, and Courtney Hope earned her first Daytime Emmy for her role as Sally Spectra, both for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS.

 

ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT was honored with two Daytime Emmys, including Outstanding Entertainment News Series, an award they have taken home five years in a row and nine times overall. In addition, ET won the inaugural trophy for Outstanding Daytime Personality - Daily.

 

The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards aired on CBS and streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+. The ceremony delivered its largest audience since 2020 and was up +39% from last year, while live streaming of the show nearly doubled.
