Press Release from CSE Federal Credit Union:
CSE Federal Credit Union planted 80 oak trees across Southwest Louisiana to commemorate its 80th anniversary.
The selected locations included Admiral Nimitz Park and Hillcrest Park in Lake Charles, McMurry Park in Sulphur, Oil and Gas Park and Franklin Park in Jennigs and West Park in DeRidder, Louisiana. This total of 80 trees is a representation of CSE's deep roots in the community and out commitment to future growth.
"Oak is a steadfast symbol for 80 years, embodying strength and resistance," expressed Matt Koch, President/CEO of CSE Federal Credit Union. "Much like an oak tree, CSE's deep roots are firmly anchored in Southwest Louisiana and this initiative is a testament to our commitment, longevity and growth in the communities we serve."
CSE collaborated with community leaders, local officials and Resource Environmental Solutions to ensure a meaningful impact. Native oak trees were chosen due to their suitability to the local ecosystem and the lack of trees from Hurricane Laura's damage.
CSE Federal Credit Union invited the community to join in these tree planting events, celebrating not only the credit union's strong history, but also fostering a sustainable and vibrant future for Southwest Louisiana.
