McNeese State
Due to the remainder of the Northwestern State University's football season being canceled, the McNeese Homecoming game was not played. However, due to the forfeit, McNeese picked up it's first win for the season. The Pokes are gearing up to take on the Southeastern Lions on November 4th. Kickoff is at 3:00pm in Hammond.
LSU
LSU had a week of rest to prepare for the anticipated rivalry game against Alabama. You can watch this match up on CBS Lake Charles, coverage will start at 6:30pm.
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts 38-27 in Week 8 of the NFL. Star running back Alvin Kamara had a touchdown receiving and rushing, Taysom Hill had two rushing touchdowns and receiver Rashid Shaheed had a 58-yard touchdown reception, the team's longest play of the season. Quarterback Derek Carr was sharp, going 19 of 27 for 310 yards with two touchdowns. He helped ice the game with another deep ball to Shaheed as the second-year player finished with three catches for 153 yards. Kicker Blake Grupe added a 27-yard field goal with 24 seconds to play. The Saints had 511 yards of offense.
