“The Late Show” Will Broadcast from Chicago’s Auditorium Theater During DNC and Will Also Air During RNC from the Ed Sullivan Theater

For the first time ever, Stephen Colbert is taking his show on the road! Announced during last night’s episode of THE LATE SHOW, Colbert revealed the show would broadcast from Chicago’s storied Auditorium Theater during the week of this year’s Democratic National Convention, also taking place in Chicago, from Monday, Aug. 19-Thursday, Aug. 22, on the CBS Television Network and available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+*.

Earlier in the summer, during the Republican National Convention taking place in Milwaukee, THE LATE SHOW will air live from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York from Monday, July 15-Thursday, July 18 on the CBS Television Network and available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+*. Guests for both weeks of shows will be announced at a later date.

“I am very excited to broadcast from the beautiful Auditorium,” said Stephen Colbert. “I started my career in Chicago, let’s see if I can end it there.”

THE LATE SHOW has broadcast live during the political conventions in previous election years, first in 2016 and again during 2020. In its history, THE LATE SHOW has broadcast live on CBS 46 times.

THE LATE SHOW is a production of The Late Show, Inc. and CBS Studios and is executive produced by Stephen Colbert, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart.
